Lawrence L. Bigham

	Lawrence L. Bigham, age 98, formerly of Cutler and rural Pinckneyville, died Monday, July 16, 2001 at 9:45 p.m. in the Fairview Nursing Center in DuQuoin.
	Lawrence was born in Perry County on May 31, 1903, the son of Jefferson Ebenezer and Harriet Rosetta (Elkins) Bigham.  He married Cora May McClure on May 9, 1931 in Cutler and she survives.  He was a farmer, a member of the Galum Presbyterian Church, rural Pinckneyville, loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
	Survivors include his wife, Cora; four sons, John of Murphysboro, Leslie of Richland Heights, Tex., Robert of Florissant, Mo. and Tom of DuQuoin; seven daughters, Bonita Wampler of DuQuoin, Barbara Tempero of Longmont, Colo., Ann Salto of Altamont, Francis Nevis and Mary Kent, both of Bridgeton, Ind., Martha Mansker of Willisville and Erna Moon of Black, Mo.; two sisters, Stella Mitchell of Belleville and Bonnie Branum of Alice, Tex.; 38 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Richard; a grandson, Rusty Tempero; two sisters and three brothers.
	Friends called at the First Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, on Wednesday, July 18, 2001 from 6 until 9 p.m. an at the church on Thursday from 8 a.m. until services.
	Funeral services were held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church.  Interment was in the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Pinckneyville.
	Arrangements were by Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville.
